Shoalcoast Community Legal Centre is a not–for–profit community legal centre  in the following local government areas – Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla, Bega Valley, Queanbeyan/Palerang and Snowy Monaro.

Our mission is to provide an accessible professional legal service, responsive to the needs of the most disadvantaged and which promotes just and lasting solutions to legal and social issues in our community.

We give free and confidential legal advice over the phone and face to face.  We give regular face to face appointments.  outreach in various towns on the South Coast an the Southern Tablelands.

Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service (WDVCAS)

​

WDVCAS have a presence in 7 courts ranging from Nowra to Eden continuing to provide women and their children with information, advocacy, and safe planning where appropriate. We provide referrals to services including housing, counselling financial assistance, or health services. A number of WDVCAS work with Solicitors and the Domestic Violence unit who can provide legal advice on matters relating to Apprehended Domestic Violence orders (ADVOs), financial advice, family law, immigration and other issues.

WDVCAS work with the community sector to guide and advise community workers who are supporting women subject to domestic and family violence and facilitate the Safety Action meetings on a fortnightly basis.

WDVCAS have ongoing involvement in community activities, LoveBites and the domestic violence committees in both areas.
